BIOGRAPHIE 

Matthew Critchley ist Dozent und Postdoktorand am Institut für Geschichte und Theorie der Architektur (gta) der ETH Zürich. Seit 2023 ist er auch wissenschaftlicher Redakteur der Institutszeitschrift gta papers. Er schloss seine Promotion mit dem Titel "A Question of Method: Anthony Blunt and the Practice of Architectural History in Britain (1934-1974)" im Jahr 2023 unter der Betreuung von Maarten Delbeke und Anthony Vidler. Im Oktober 2017 wurde er Promotionsstipendiat der gta. Zuvor arbeitete er als Architekt für Büros in London und Basel. Er studierte an der Architectural Association in London bei Pier Vittorio Aureli, Maria Sheherazade Giudici und Thomas Weaver. Seit 2020 ist er Mitorganisator und Entwickler der DocTalks, einer wöchentlichen interinstitutionellen Peer-to-Peer-Plattform für Doktoranden und Nachwuchswissenschaftler mit Referenten und Teilnehmern aus über 100 verschiedenen akademischen Einrichtungen. Er hat in den AA Files, OASE, gta papers, der Architectural Theory Review und den Quaderni della Bibliotheca Hertziana veröffentlicht.
