Daniel Tischler
Curriculum vitae

Daniel Tischler studied Art History and Comparative Literature in Vienna, including several years as an assistant and tutor for various courses and lectures at the Department of Art History, as well as a three-month research stay at the Bibliotheca Hertziana in Rome. Since October 2021, he is a fellow of the Doctoral Program in History and Theory of Architecture at the Department of Architecture (D-ARCH) at ETH Zurich.

His research interests are reflected in various talks and publications and include:
  • Late medieval and early modern architectural drawings
  • Image theory and visual culture studies
  • Aesthetics of the sublime
  • Self-injury in performance and body art
