Curriculum vitae
Gerlinde Verhaeghe joined the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at ETH in October 2018, her PhD is under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maarten Delbeke. Her research is situated at the intersection of surrealism, self-representation and interior space, specifically the cabinet typology in the work of Carlo Mollino.
Gerlinde obtained a master’s degree in architectural history at the Bartlett School of Architecture London and a master’s in architecture at KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture, where she also was a research assistant. Gerlinde has written articles on interior, exhibition and furniture design for the Belgian architectural magazine A+. As an architect she practiced in architecture offices in Spain (RCR Arquitectes), the Netherlands (KCAP) and Belgium (Crepain Binst Architecture, 51N4E).
